Certificate Program

The Certificate Program is an bi-annual program that gives student guitarists of all ages the opportunity to interact with other students and teachers.

The program is designed to support and assist guitarists in developing their musicianship and performing skills. The program is designed for any student of any age, but is not designed for students at the conservatory level who are enrolled and attending a conservatory degree program). This event is  adjudicated by area professionals and is held twice a year. Students receive response sheets from the three adjudicators to review with their teacher. The opportunity to be heard in a receptive public forum and compare notes with professionals is the goal. Four students whose performance demonstrates the highest quality for their level will be selected (two in the Fall and Two in the Spring) and awarded an opening act performance in the following concert season where they will have the chance to play a 15 minute set right before our concert artist takes the stage.
